'Heart of Gold’ put me in the middle of the road. Traveling there soon became a bore, so I headed for the ditch.” – Neil Young, comments written for the liner notes of his 1977 compilation, Decade.

I started using Google Drive awhile ago because my colleagues were. Easy to use applications that have the collaborative features we were looking for.
I didn’t install the Mac client for Google Drive that syncs the contents of your Google Drive to the local machine. About two months ago I did.
Shortly after that I noticed a weird thing that started to happen.
I would be happily typing along in some application and the application would move to the background. Click on the app or use the command keys to move the app back to the front…and it would happen again.
It was driving me crazy.
One day I was typing merrily along and it happened…again. However, this time I noticed the Google Drive Icon in the menu bar flash at the same time the foreground app moved to the background!
Sure enough that was the problem. Set Google Drive to ‘pause’.
Problem solved.
Stopped by Eastern Market yesterday to pick up this and that. Thought I would take the camera and click off a few shots as it has been awhile.

It appears that Apple is adding Javascript as a automation tool in Mac OS X.
See here.
John Gruber recommended this application for the iPhone. I picked it up and loved it. Check out this story from Lifehacker.
Not new information as ‘The Loop’ was revised back in the fall of 2013. See initial review here by Apple Insider. See the review I’m referencing here.
‘The Loop’ is powered by something called ‘Glide’ from ‘Glide Creations’. I guess I’m just confused as I thought this was something that was released but the web site doesn’t seem to indicate that’s not the case.

Came home to my personal machine showing this on screen:

I guess it wants me to buy more ink.

“on the road again…”
3 mile Saturday. 3 miles this morning. Not
Signed up for the Grand Rapids River Bank run 10k and the Chicago 1/2 Marathon in September. Also participating in the ‘Warrior Dash’ in July. Probably do some 5k’s as well.
Hoping to dump 30 lbs. Not using the Nike tracking stuff since I’m running inside. Instead using the FitBit One for now.
Now I just need to figure out how to get the FitBit stats on the web site! They do have an API…Hmmmm…
