I did not know anything about Lafayette beyond his involvement in the American Revolution. In fact, I did not much about the French Revolution and the aftermath. Incredible life.

Insane story, brutal tactics by the Japanese troops in Manila and elsewhere.
Hard read.
Tried this bourbon based on a recommendation of a colleague while in Amsterdam. Quite good…and this coming from a guy that keeps trying to like bourbon. The picture is from Saint Patrick’s Day at the local eatery. I’m probably committing some sort of bourbon faux pas by having it in an Old Fashioned. Oh well.
Interesting read. Sherman’s reasoning of the ‘March to the Sea’ was pretty solid…though the South would disagree.
Great book about 2 bear attacks in Glacier National Park in 1967.
Dave Grohl – Storyteller. Pretty good. I generally don’t read these kinds of books but Grohl did a nice job following along his career.
We’ve got an old Ultracade Arcade Legends cabinet that died a few years ago. These are old (2005 is this machines vintage I think) PC based machines with a CRT in a really nice cabinet. When I got it I also got the installation CD, USB stick and the manual.
I couldn’t find those items for the life of me. Looked everywhere… except the place where they were actually filed away….god forbid…even organized.
I think it’s just the hard drive that needs replacing. I’ll see if I can get a solid state stick and use that too get this thing up and running again.
I just finished the final book of The Expanse, Leviathan Falls—what an incredible series!
Now onto The Storyteller by Dave Grohl. This isn’t my usual genre, but why not give it a shot?
