The Italian campaign was just absolutely brutal. This book outlines this up until the capture of Rome. The fight for Cassino was just two forces bashing their heads together with the resulting casualties. Terrible.

I’ve had this book on my nightstand for years and I’m finally reading it. The story of this guy and his accumulation of power of the years is absolutely amazing.
I haven’t updated the book list lately but I am still reading. I picked up ‘Mark Twain’ by Ron Chernow. Loving the book but for me it’s another slow read.
I just received Ryan Holiday’s reading list for July and see a couple of more that I will add to the list shortly.
I FINALLY spent some time on the 1985 Mustang of late. I’ve assessed where I stand with parts, tools, etc. and have come to the conclusion that I have everything that I can reasonably identify to get started.
I then spent a day over the holiday cleaning the garage, sweeping, washing. All the good things that make a person feel better about the environment they are in. Looks good. Let’s get to work.
