Was visiting family and on the way back decided to hit the One Nation Brewery in Williamston, MI as I had never tried their M43 IPA (delicious by the way).
Passed through St. Louis, MI on the way there. Geographic center of Michigan.
Minneapolis: State Fair, Ren Fest and Grain Belt
Spent some time last week in Minneapolis. Went to the State Fair, Paisley Park and the Ren Fest.
Good time was had. Also tried Grain Belt. Pretty good, drinkable beer. Below is a pic of the famous ‘Grain Belt’ sign in Minneapolis.
Reading Stephen King’s Dark Tower again
Somewhere along the line I started this series…and then lost track of it. Since the movie is coming out in early August I thought I would read the first book again and then pick up the rest of the series. I seem to at least have gotten through the second book as well since I remember the ‘lobstrosities’.

During our visit to Vienna we wandered by the Vienna Opera House. Amazing space. This fountain is off to one side.
Favorite statue in Vienna
My wife and I were in Vienna a couple of years ago and took this photo. Love the statue. The name at the bottom is ‘Ferdinand Raymond’. Here’s a link to a Wikipedia article about him. Kind of a sad end:
